Tigeriffic….

As you can gather I am a sucker for animals…all of them.  I have noticed a tiger theme occurring in design recently (and my son has a project due on Bengal tigers).  Here are a few favorites. This hand painted pillow from John Robshaw is so fun. A painting from John Robshaw. Waylande Gregory pottery is so chic. More Waylande Gregory, all available through The English Room. A cool tiger evening gown from Marchesa via Bergdorf Goodman. A vintage David Webb bauble….Bananas! This cuff is "to die"… An Alexander McQueen Cape from Barneys last fall I wish I had bought. So good with leather leggings. Another McQueen clutch. You can...

Weekend Update…

Friday I ran around town with clients looking for various things.  I found this sample alone at Renaissance Bath and Tile on the table in a sea of carrera marble samples.  It was waiting for me to come in and fall in love.  This crazy quirky chevron tile of various colors of glass is INSANE!  Ready to put in the backsplash of my bar.  I have dark cabinets.  It also is behind doors.  What a great surprise when you open up looking for a drink! We ran by Hidell Brooks Gallery to check out the David Kroll paintings.  The show goes up this week.  My client fell in love with a painting similar to below with a blue vase and koi....

Beautifully Rustic and Modern Belk Farm

Belk Farm I saw this modern farm in Chester, South Carolina, in Garden and Gun and I was captured. As I read on I realized I know the owners.  I dream of this amazing place that was renovated by the talented Charlotte architect, Ken Pursley.  I hope to accept the invitation and visit this piece of heaven soon. Be sure to check out the full article and all the pictures on the link above. Garden and Gun is a top notch publication. I saved the best for last.  How precious are these donkeys? I wish I could be hanging out on this farm this weekend instead of soccer and baseball games…one can dream. Happy...

Celerie, Charlotte Shopping and Seriously Chic Jewels

The Mint Museum Auxilary Room to Bloom Symposium is an Annual event not to be missed.  This years speaker was Celerie Kemble of Kemble Interiors.  Celerie was funny and charming. She shared a peak into her life with wonderful design tips.  This mother of 3 under 6 is a force of energy.  Her genuine beauty and warmth was endearing.  She was dressed in a fabulous coral Lela Rose(her designer of choice and close friend) frock with a chunky vintage necklace. Wells Fargo was kind enough to donate $25,000 to her charity of choice. Bravo! Each attendee (all 507) also received a copy of her new book Black and White from Wells Fargo.  What a...

Hickory Chair is a High Point Market Highlight

Hickory Chair was my highlight of Spring 2012 High Point Market.  The showroom was in tip top shape!  The new furniture and fabric introductions are AMAZING.  The ikat fabrics made me so happy.  It was a departure from the more neutrals that are traditional to The Hickory Chair Furniture Company.  The quality and the fact the Hickory Chair is made in the USA is a real positive that keeps me coming back for more.   These chairs were my very favorite! This print was a major hit too! The petite scale of this chair is wonderful… The shape of this ottoman is unusual and chic… A smaller size of the ottoman… I made a...
