In a year when nursery trends have pushed fashion down the pecking order, a devoted mother has launched a magical range of furniture to ensure every child can let their imagination run wild.

Crafted by hand and finished using techniques passed down from generation to generation, Anaiza presents a stunning collection where elephants, lions and giraffes adorn cherished nursery storage trunks, beautiful changing tables and adorable cots.

These unique and sought-after pieces embrace an innocent love of wildlife, transforming ordinary products into extraordinary heirlooms.

Britain has gone baby crazy in 2013 with the arrival of Prince George and this range created by London mum Kyra Floden is bound to create as many of its own headlines.

Indeed, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have made clear their love of Africa and have already decked out the baby prince’s nursery with inspiring jungle scenes.

William said: “I’ll have toy elephants and rhinos around the room. We’ll cover it in, you know, lots of bushes and things like that, make him grow up as if he’s in the bush.”

Inspired by breathtaking trips to south-west Tanzania, Kyra has brought her love of the safari into the home with an inspirational collection of children’s furniture. She set out on a personal quest to create something which stands out from the crowd after growing tired of dull and uninspiring pieces when furnishing her daughter’s nursery.

Made by master craftsmen in Latin America using sustainably-sourced European alder wood, Kyra has helped bring to life the beauty and grace of the world’s most impressive animals.

Amos is a handsome wardrobe where a proud lion keeps guard at the top; Dahlia is an elegant changing table where a giraffe peers serenely above the drawers; Valentina is an oval-shaped cot with an adorable elephant at the head; and Jacinto is the most jovial piece in the collection, full of character and laughter as the storage trunk takes on the shape of a playful elephant.

“I have dedicated three years of my life to sourcing the best materials and finding the best workshops and the end result is something which will bring joy to children and their parents for years to come, ” Kyra explained.

“Everybody who sees our designs falls in love with the animals because they are so graceful and gentle. The craftsmanship is second to none and we are looking to expand the range immediately with more designs going into production, particularly of horses.”

Prices start at £950 for the Jacinto elephant trunk and go up to £7, 500 for the Amos wardrobe.

All pieces are handcrafted and handpainted and take between six and 10 weeks to create.

“It’s not an exaggeration to say we searched all over the world for something different, a one-off piece to put in her room, ” Kyra explains.

“We wanted beauty and craftsmanship in a nursery where our daughter would grow to discover more about the world around her.”

“Children need stimulation from day one. We were keen to develop her sense of adventure and bringing the safari into her room seemed the best way to do it.”

All furniture is made-to-order within 10 weeks painted with a beautiful range of colours with a variety of stunning finishes and gold-leaf adornments, ensuring each piece is as unique as your child.
