It is always hard to put into words how incredible the experience is that is The Southern C Summit.

Each year these talented women put together yet another event that tops the previous year. And each year I am amazed that it can be done. The quality of the speakers and the content is beyond any event I have attended. The focus is on entrepreneurs, brands and growing your business. The diverse range of speakers regardless of their specialty seem to speak to every industry. The two simultaneous tracks we’re both so enticing it was hard to decide which one to attend.

Yet again Mandy Rye of Waiting On Martha stole the show in my opinion with her intensive hour and a half social media blitz. Mandy is beyond that knowledgeable while still being lighthearted, fun and friendly. Her method of sharing information is easy to understand and approachable. As many of you know, this is a hard task when discussing all forms of social media.

Here are a look at a just a few of the highlights…

I arrived early in order to help my friends get ready for the event.

The first morning I attended the table shop workshop with Steve McKenzie. It was fabulous and a lesson and editing for photography buy Atlanta homes.

Eddie Ross was one of the favorite speakers as well.

Eddie also did these gorgeous flowers.

The blogger panel was another favorite among the crowd.

At the summit you are fed and offered cocktail every few minutes it seems like.

This divine Proper Pepper pimento cheese will not be forgotten. I’m hoping it will be offered in our local groceries soon it is truly the best I have ever had.

I dashed over to fellow attendee, jewelry designer and multitalented Janet Gregg‘s house for a tour and visit. Color lovers unite. Janet has style for miles. I could move in today.

Because I was the moderator of a panel, I was lucky enough to attend a beautiful dinner at Fritz Porter. The table was amazing as was the catering which was all vegetarian fresh from the farm by The Bad Bitches. These cookies that were served as dessert along with milk punch were absolutely off the charts. I may have to have a trip to Charleston just to cater a party so I can have more they’re delicious edibles.

Day 2 was filled with equal excitement, creativity and connections…

One of the extra highlights of the day was going with the ladies of Charleston Artist Collective to the stunning home and studio of artist Anne Darby Parker.  It is a new home on Sullivans Island that exudes Charleston traditional blended  with a relaxed coastal style (more of that to come.)

My love for this great group of people may be obvious. I have made many close friends as well as business opportunities have evolved out of this event.  The connections made each trip are worth the price of admission x 1000.

Sad you missed it?
