As I head off to the the Winter Antique Show today, I am thinking about another upcoming jaunt to Nashville. When my schedule permits, I try to attend the Antique & Garden Show.

It is certainly one of the best of the country with amazing programming and a lively Preview Party.

Keynote Lecture*
Every Home Tells A Story

Keynote Speaker Nate Berkus with moderator Tori Mellott

2017-bannerb

Renowned interior designer Nate Berkus believes that our homes should tell our stories about who we are, where we’ve been, what we love most – all collected and assembled in one place. In this moderated talk, Nate will share his personal design philosophy about why the things we choose to bring into our homes matter, and how we can all live more beautifully. Nate will also share his favorite discoveries from the Show and how he would use these finds in a space. Nate will be joined by fellow style-maker and discussion moderator Tori Mellott,  Traditional Home’s Senior Design and Markets Editor.

Nate Berkus is now one of the world’s most recognizable interior designers, ever since his 2002 appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show. His work has appeared in Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, VOGUE, InStyle, O Magazine, People and ELLE DECOR which included him in their A-List of the world’s top designers. He has two New York Times bestselling books: Home Rules (2005) and The Things That Matter (2012). And audiences will see him in a new TLC show launching in 2017.

Tori Mellott began her own style-blazing career at House Beautiful and ELLE DECOR before launching Conde Nast’s domino as decorating editor. She served as Creative Deputy for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, and joined Nate Berkus for the first year of The Nate Show. After projects for Teen Vogue,  The Editor at Large,  and VERANDA, Tori joined Traditional Home in 2011 as Senior Design and Markets Editor.

Brooke & Steve Giannetti

Brooke & Steve Giannetti will share the special journey they’ve traveled together working on spectacular projects as husband and wife – she the interior designer and he the architect. One of the Giannettis’ most notable collaborations was the creation of their idyllic European-inspired Patina Farm in Ojai, California – the subject of their best-selling book of the same name,  Patina Farm. Featuring a meticulous selection of antique materials and architectural elements,  Patina Farm realizes their vision of making the beauty of their magnificent natural surroundings part of the interior living experience and vice versa. Thoughtful landscape design, carefully crafted outbuildings, and the charming presence of miniature goats, donkeys and hens complete the picture.
