This is not something I have done before but, I have seen some very positive changes in my teenager recently that I would love to share.
Coming with the term “teen” there are often many negative connotations like rebellious young adults with a bad attitude. This is not my experience.
I often get bogged down in the stress of parenting, grades, college pressure which I translate to my oldest child. Instead of acting out from the stress of a very difficult school and pressure she has turned to helping others. Recently, without us knowing, my very independent and good hearted daughter has gotten a part time job and has taken interest in a wonderful charity helping the children of the world (outlined below). She is also headed to Peru on a school service trip to install solar panels at a school in Peru to help get them running water and electricity.
While she leads a very charmed life and is a fashion addict (the apple doesn’t fall far), I am beyond proud of her ability to want to help others. So today instead of sharing my favorite luxury fabric or the latest glamouous shoes that I do not need I would rather give her the platform to share her heart. Feel no pressure but if you are so moved to help she would be most grateful.
I am Violet Phillips. I am a High School Sophomore.
You may be familiar with the non-profit called The Foundation For Tomorrow (TFFT). If you aren’t familiar, TFFT provides orphans and vulnerable children in Tanzania with a quality education and a stable living environment where they can thrive.
This organization really speaks to me because I have been so blessed with the wonderful gifts of education and a loving family, gifts that most kids in this world do not receive.
The reality that exists for these children in Tanzania is bleak, and Foundation for Tomorrow’s work makes a bright and wonderful future possible for their scholars.
I have the opportunity to become a team leader for a two-week fundraiser for TFFT called SHARE the LOVE that runs from February 1st – 14th. As a team leader, my goal is to raise $1000 for this cause. This money will be raised through donations. I would love it if you could help me reach this goal!
Making a donation is simple. Click the link at the bottom of this email. You then scroll down until you see my name, my bio, and a picture of me. Next, you click the yellow “Donate” button. Finally, you declare the amount you would like to donate, fill in your information and you are done! Any donation will be HIGHLY appreciated. Whether this be $1 or $100, it all adds up.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this email. I really hope you decide to make a donation to this unbelievable cause, as it really speaks to me and means that other kids in the world will be able to receive just some the basic needs that I grew up with.

If you have any questions please leave a comment and I will get back to you.
