The latest collaboration between the preeminent fashion house OSCAR DE LA RENTA and LEE JOFA builds upon the success of the first two collections that translated the brand’s signature style with eleven new elegant, sophisticated designs for the home.
OSCAR DE LA RENTA III offers a unique and eclectic sensibility in its variety of prints, weaves, embroideries, and wallpaper. The stunning craftsmanship of intricate hand crewelwork, embroideries, and jacquard weaves is a nod to the brand’s unique and celebrated aesthetic. Rich crimson, sepia, indigo, aqua, gold and tobacco color stories are complemented by a refined neutral palette of tone-on-tone ivory, tobacco and platinum.
The aesthetic of the collection honors Mr. de la Renta’s iconic style – well-traveled, versatile and extremely chic. It also pays homage to the house’s flair for mixing styles; in particular, a love of Indian textiles portrayed by SAMEERA PRINT, a beautiful Mughal pattern, and TORTUGA BAY PRINT, an exotic batik design.
Under the creative direction of Carolina Irving (see her stunning apartment HERE), the Oscar de la Renta Home Collection is inspired by the way Oscar lived and entertained in each of his homes: city sophistication in New York City; country elegance in Kent, Connecticut and island exuberance in his native Dominican Republic. From furniture, rugs and fabrics to tableware and entertaining accessories, the collection uses a rich blend of materials, colors and patterns designed to infuse effortless style in every room of the home.
My favorite is Sameera, an intricate archival Indian Mughal hand block, offered in a striking wallpaper that perfectly complements the coordinating fabric.
