As you may have read last week, I am participating in the Spring 2018 One Room Challenge.

This week has a plan and a tad bit of progress. This far my room has been painted… that is all. Lots of orders are placed and some are still pending.

If I was my client for this project I would be worried.  I have a trip to High Point Market where I am a Style Spotter this week and then to London later this month. I better get myself all organized!

Sofa – This Bernhardt Palisades Sofa (108″) is just the perfect alternative to a sectional. This sofa is a beast at 9′ long. Perfect for 2 people to lay on because of the generous length and depth. I always sway to a tight back because we have the tendency to make a mess and loose back cushions don’t help. I know the bright velvet will bring out the beautiful lines of this sofa.

Sofa Fabric – I am fully obsessed and involved with Chartreuse right now. I cannot get enough. I searched high and low for the perfect bold color and I found it finally at S.Harris in Wimbledon Velvet in Vintage Citrine. The color displayed on my mood board above does not full represent the beauty and boldness of this IRL. It also has the lovely hand of a crunchy linen velvet. Just wait until you see it!

Chairs – I chose the Camino Swivel Chairs from Bernhardt Interiors.  These Milo Baughman inspired swivels with gold bases are a touch of glam and drama. I cannot wait to see them in the tweed.

Chair Fabric – for these swivel beauties I chose Stroheim’s Janiculum Fuchsia. It looks like a Chanel tweed suit in the perfect colors of spring in a bright pink spotted with chartreuse and blues. It is also soil and stain repellant. Score!

End Tables – These Arbor Round Chairside Table from Bernhardt Interiors are classic chic! They are that lovely faux bois style chalky plaster look make of cast resin over a steel frame. Dreamy!

Paint – Farrow and Ball paint goes on like silk! This room being paneled needed some great paint and I went with Wimbourne White in Full gloss on the walls and trim.  This white has just enough warmth to keep it from feeling cool while staying crisp.

Cocktail Table – I bought this Aerin for E.J. Victor Chatham cocktail table (discontinued) a few years ago at the Sample Sale.  It was a total steal and it HUGE.  It makes me so happy and i will never part with it.

Side Chair – The Florence Broadhurst Cockatoo Chair in White w/ Natural Caning is a nod to her iconic wallpaper pattern.  I am such a Florence Broadhurst groupie (Brand Ambassador) and fan I needed this in my life.  I have decided what to put on it yet though.

Be sure to check out all the Florence Broadhurst for Selamat Designs HERE

Media Cabinet – I chose the Selamat Florence Broadhurst Sydney Mod Pyramids Credenza in White for the cabinet below the TV. You may remember I used in in the Charleston Showhouse last year and have dreamed of it ever since. It is inspired by Italian Brutalist architecture from the 1970s,  interpreted the geometric design of Pyramids into hand carved wood with a glam gold steel base. Four door credenza with an internal fixed shelf.

Curtains– Stroheim’s Montargis Berry is the happiest fabric. It is sophisticated and colorful with its rich embroidery. The violet, chartreuse and tomato red on natural linen are going to be panels on the 2 windows with 2 finger Euro Pleats to enhance the fabric. I used Fabricut Finished Products to make my curtains. I am happy to introduce the newest service for Fabricut customers: Finished Products.

Using their easy-to-use online tool, you can order completed drapery through our workroom services. This tool allows you to search through their products so you can customize your designs with fabrics, trimmings, pleating, tape, tie-backs, and more. Watch the video to learn more about the ordering process and custom options available. This is the second time I have used the service and have been thrilled with the amazingly fast turnaround. They came in less than 3 weeks while my local workroom is 12 weeks.

Curtain Rods – I stuck with my friends at Fabricut for my hardware and went with a Gold brass rod with End caps to fit right in-between the old beams. This contrast of shiny and new on the paneled walls and old beans should be interesting.

It is so nice to have a one stop shop for curtains from fabric, to lining, labor and rods.

And a little inspiration for that Chartreuse pop…

Hallway Wallpaper– This Milton & King wallpaper is a dream! I have longed to use it for years and it will finally become mine. JUNGLE PALM an over-sized palm design encompasses all that the jungle represents. Greenery, fruits, exotic but a natural rawness and edge that is striking in every possible way. Likened to the Beverly Hills Martinique this designer wallpaper will transform anywhere are everywhere into a tropical statement. Manufactured as a double width design requiring 2 rolls A+B to complete the repeat. Available in two striking colorways and manufactured on a hard wearing non-woven wallpaper. Easy to install and suitable for both commercial and domestic interiors.

Be sure to take some time to check out MILTON & KING’S unique collection of wallpapers that are exquisitely curated. I have lots of favorites including CAVALRY and FEATHER PALM.

Hallway Paint– I used Benjamin Moore’s Citrus Burst 364 years ago in my home office One Room Challenge. It was the most stunning color up.  I am hoping it will be the perfect match to the bananas. I want to do the trim in this hallway a happy high gloss.

Here is the hallway inspiration:

Open Decisions for next week….

Rug – torn on this one…

Art over the mantle – always a hard decision…

Lighting – I need loads of lamps because this room is a bit dark.
