House of Nomad

House of Nomad is a full-service design firm based in South End. They’ve had their work featured on Domino, HGTV and RUE. Their designs are inspired by their world travels and they even have a shop with cool decor and textiles they’ve picked up along the way.

Interesting fact: This design duo comes as a packaged deal. Kelley and Berkeley collaborate on every project.

Project we love: Ever since we laid eyes on House of Nomad co-owner Kelley Lentini’s NODA condo, we’ve had major house envy.

Barrie Benson

This Charlotte-based interior designer is best known for balancing the modern with the traditional. She breathes new life into older homes with her fresh take on European and American 20th-century furniture, art, and collections.

Project we love: This ultra-cool, totally redone ranch.

Based in South End, Lucy and Company’s work can be seen from New York all the way to San Diego. The full-service design firm can completely transform your entire house from top to bottom or just help you find that one perfect piece you’ve been searching for.

Project we love: The bar in this Willow Oak Pond home is so dreamy you’d half expect Bob Peters to walk out and make you a cocktail.

Interesting fact: Beth helped source decor for Boem boutique owner and blogger, Megan Orrell’s modern boho Plaza Midwood home.

Charlotte Lucas Interior Design

Founded in 2012, Charlotte Lucas Interior Design is known for their signature use of bold color and whimsical details. Their work has been featured in publications like Elle Decor, Southern Living, and Garden & Gun. Owner, Charlotte Lucas, also co-owns a fabric and wallpaper company called House of Harris.

Project we love: This adorable breakfast nook is what dreams are made of.

Interesting fact: Charlotte’s love for design started at an early age – her mother was actually a designer as well.


Holly Phillips – The English Room

If there’s one distinguishing characteristic about Holly Phillip’s designs, it’s color. She is the queen of color and always incorporates bright hues in interesting, fun ways. You can also expect an unexpected mix of traditional and modern styles.

Project we love: The unpredictable color pops in this Queens Road home are SO fun.


Mary Tobias Miller Interior Design

This full-service design firm is based in Dilworth. Designer and owner, Mary Tobias Miller, is great at sourcing those special, hard-to-find pieces that make a room stand out. She so good at it that she also opened home furnishing store, Abode, which she fills with unique decor and accessories.

Project we love: This beautiful new construction on Beresford road is off the charts.

Interesting fact: Mary knows her stuff. She has been in the interior design business since 1983.


KBN Interiors

This full-service design firm specializes in new construction interior design. They handle everything from space planning to selection of interior and exterior materials. Love those homes with beautiful wood beams or custom built-ins? KBN Interiors has got you.

Project we love: This award-winning kitchen. Need those countertops ASAP.

Interesting fact: Last year, KBN Interiors was awarded the regional Subzero-Wolf Kitchen Design Award for the Second Place Transitional Winner, alongside Chiott Custom Homes.


Amy Vermillion Interiors

From residential interiors to private jet design (whatttt?), Amy Vermillion takes every aspect of her clients’ unique lifestyles and tastes into consideration when working on a project. Her work has been featured in The New York Times Magazine, Charlotte Magazine and SouthPark Magazine.

Circa Interiors & Antiques

This Charlotte interior design force is one part antique shop, one part design studio. The shop offers an array of fine 18th, 19th, and 20th century English and Continental antiques. Owner Cindy Smith’s work has been showcased in Southern Accents, House Beautiful, Southern Living, VERANDA and House and Garden

Georgia Street Design

“Live a well-designed life” is the motto of Georgia Street Design. The way they look at it – they are influencing spaces that will serve as the backdrop of family memories for years to come. They’ve been in Charlotte since 2010 and have a space at Slate Interiors, if you want to snag something stylish for your own house.

Interesting fact: Meredith’s first design job was transforming an old warehouse into a beautiful event space.

Project we love: This drop dead gorg kitchen with navy blue cabinets.


Traci Zeller Interiors

This award-winning, full-service design firm aims to create spaces that are cultivated, comfortable and enduring. Owner, Traci Zeller, works to balance modernity with tradition in her designs. Her clients’ homes have been featured in national design publications like Traditional Home and Better Homes and Gardens.

Project we love: Tradition meets modern in this SouthPark home. LOVE the pops of color.

Interesting fact: Traci has twice been named one of Charlotte’s 25 Most Stylish People.


New South Home

Mixing current trends with classic style is New South Home’s design sweet spot. This full-service design firm aims to create spaces that are both beautiful and functional. That means standing up to the everyday – kids and pets included. They’ve been awarded ‘Best of Houzz’ for five years running.

Project we love: Melissa recently designed UNC-Charlotte’s Delta Zeta sorority house with her design associate, Brenna Morgan, and it is incredible. Can we go back to college?

Interesting fact: Before starting New South Home, Melissa was a fashion buyer for 10 years.

Dwell by Cheryl

Cheryl Luckett, owner of Dwell by Cheryl, describes her design aesthetic as sophisticated but approachable; easy and livable. Launched in 2012, she’s created a reputation around her ability to transform a space on a realistic budget. Her work has been published in Charlotte Home and GardenSouthern Home and QC Exclusive.

Interesting fact: Dwell by Cheryl has been awarded Best of Houzz Design for six years straight.

Project we love: This eclectic and cozy space. Would spend all our time on that porch.


Ashley DeLapp Interior Design

Originally started in 2009 as Evaru Design, owner Ashley DeLapp rebranded her full-service firm last year. The Charlotte-based interior designer specializes in mixing vintage and new, layered patterns and bold color. Her work has been featured in Charlotte Home + GardenSouthpark Magazine and Better Homes and Gardens DIY.

Interesting fact: Ashley was actually an architect before becoming an interior designer.

Project we love: The entire first floor of this edgy and cool home.

Interesting fact: Jacy also has a design collaboration with interior designer Kerri Robusto called 431 Designs.

Owned by a husband and wife team, Tim and Christina Lewis, The redesign company’s interior design approach is centered around making your home work better for you and your family. They are well-known for a garage redesign they did for their two sons, which was featured on HGTV.

Interesting fact: Tim is actually a therapist and Christina is a designer and they use their combined skills to improve spaces for families.

Project we love: Their portfolio is filled with cool projects. Check out the little girl’s room, complete with a teepee and mounted unicorn head.


Lauren Nicole Designs

Interior designer Lauren Clement is fully focused on creating room and homes that reflect her clients’ unique personalities and tastes. Her forte is finding the balance between beauty and function. She offers a wide range of design services, even online e-design services.
