A collection of decorative fabrics and wallpapers which captures the exotic and tropical landscapes, nature, flora and fauna loved by Matthew whilst on his research trips and travels to far flung destinations.
Matthew Williamson conjures up the glamour and excitement of pre-revolutionary Cuba in the era of Hemingway and his contemporaries in this exotic collection of decorative fabrics. Colours imported directly from Matthew’s high fashion designs for the catwalk include jade, peach, coral, turquoise, fuchsia, grass and ultramarine.
Companion and co-ordinating wall coverings are presented in CUBANA WALLPAPERS. Colourful and sleek co-ordinating fabrics are presented in MIRAMAR while CUBANA WEAVES offers upholsteries to complete the ensemble.
My personal favorite is the Leopardo Wallpaper (4 colors)
A fantastical composition of leopards stalking between peacock feathers.
Turquino Wallpaper (4 colors)
A subtle all-over pattern resembling a contemporary ikat, named after PICO TURQUINO the highest mountain in Cuba.
Tropicana (4 colors)
A stylised palm leaves on a contrasting ground.
The tropical birds with colourful metallic plumage are set on contrasting grounds, named after a type of parrot found in Latin America.
