A Birthday Gift: The Foundation For Tomorrow

My eldest child, Violet, turns 17 today.

She is a bright and shining star that has the biggest heart of anyone I know.  She is a caring and kind child that I am so very proud of.  It is a bittersweet year not celebrating with her. I am wishing I were in Italy today especially, yet her independent is so inspiring.

She asked for nothing this birthday other than I share her current mission as a Team Leader with my readers in hopes of raising money for a cause so dear to her tender heart. She has been involved with this organization since last year and it really has spoken to her for which I am immensely thankful.

The irony is that the founder of this organization was her babysitter for one summer when Violet was just an infant.  I love that they have reconnected to help other children of the world.

My name is Violet Phillips. I am a junior at Charlotte Country Day School but, I am currently studying abroad in Viterbo, Italy with School Year Abroad. My time abroad has taught me how important having an education is and I want to share that with as many people as possible. I have been a part of the TFFT club for the past three years and I am so grateful to be able to help with the Share the Love challenge once again. I am so excited to help make this a memorable Share the Love campaign for the kids and teachers in Tanzania. I hope you can join me in supporting the Share the Love campaign this year which is going on until February 14th!

With your help, orphans and vulnerable children are given opportunity for a brighter future and a ripple effect of change is created through the training of excellent educators. Together, we can empower individuals to become change agents in their own communities and stronger leaders for our world. Please consider ensuring this continues to happen by making a contribution below.

This organization really speaks to me because I have been so blessed with the wonderful gifts of education and a loving family, gifts that most kids in this world do not receive.

The reality that exists for these children in Tanzania is bleak, and Foundation for Tomorrow’s work makes a bright and wonderful future possible for their scholars.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this email. I really hope you decide to make a donation to this unbelievable cause, as it really speaks to me and means that other kids in the world will be able to receive just some the basic needs that I grew up with.
