I am not a huge cook but, what I do cook I must say is excellent. Here is my Apple Blueberry Crumble recipe.  It is an adaptation of a recipe served by The Eseeola Lodge. It is DELISH I tell you!

Life is short…eat the pie.

Have a safe and wonderful 4th of July!

Apple Blueberry Crumble:

6 granny smith apples, peeled and grated (I use my peeler)

1 pint of blueberries

2 Juiced fresh lemons

1/4 cup of brown sugar

1/4 cup sugar

3 TBS of flour

Topping:

3 cups of Oatmeal

2 1/2 stick room temp salted butter

2 1/2 cups brown sugar

1 cup slivered almonds

dash of vanilla extract

dash of almond extract

pinch of kosher salt

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Mix all the beginning ingredients and place in a 13" x 9" Pyrex dish. I spray my Pyrex with Pam. Pour the fruit mixture the fruit in…it is going to be full.

Mix all the topping ingredients in a separate bowl combining well. The butter must be very soft.

Place the topping over the fruit mixture. Spread evenly. It will be heaping. Press firmly into the fruit.

Bake at 375 for 45 minutes or until the crisp is brown. I always put the Pyrex on a baking sheet because you are likely to have overflow.

Serve with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and ENJOY!
