Chair Love: Zebra Arne Jacobsen Egg Chair
I saw this from Forsyth the other say and was stopped in my web wandering tracks. I am a chair addict and this suits all my cravings with mid century and animal print in one chic chair or even better, two!
I cannot wait to see more of their beautiful designs at the upcoming BRANDSHOP in Charlotte in December.
Ask any lover of mid-century furniture to name the top 5 iconic chairs of mcm design and we guarantee the Egg chair would be on that list. The FORSYTH design team was over the moon when we collected this outstanding pair of original Arne Jacobsen Egg chairs. Jacobsen was a true visionary as an architect and designer, and his Egg chair is the epitome of Danish mid-century design. Jacobsen originally designed the Egg chair in 1958 for the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark. Set on a steel rotating base, the Egg Chair allows sitters to swivel toward a conversation or away from others for more privacy.
Expertly restored and reupholstered in our luxurious signature leather and zebra hide, these chairs will find a home in one of the most beautiful rooms on Earth.
Sold as a pair or individually.

THE MAKING OF THIS PIECE — We travel the world in search of beautifully designed furnishings. When we discover a piece that consumes us, that inspires us, we collect it. Each piece is treated as a blank canvas. Our designers artistically select the perfect hide from our unparalleled collection of the finest South African zebra hides, Brazilian cowhides, and New Zealand sheepskins. Working with our master upholsterers, the designers’ vision is brought to life, creating what are truly, works of art.
