Chicks are not just for Easter…
Chicks ARE just for Easter at my house. My husband does not want me to get any more animals! We currently have 2 dogs, "Waffles", a mutt and "Junior", a Jack Russell terrier, a hedgehog named "Henrietta" and a bearded dragon name "Turbo" (I called her "Turbetty" after our boy dragon laid eggs…we had the sex wrong). We recently lost Cookie Dough 1 and 2. I am out of the teddy bear hamster business officially. But, I recognize I am animal crazy…I love them all.
I REALLY want to build a chicken coop. Here are my best finds recently.
I love "Chez Poulet" by Heather Bullard. If we do it , this is what I will end up with. It is more in keeping with my house.
You can order the plans for $39 from the website.
This is my favorite coop. You can see a whole post on it HERE.

The Nogg is a modern coop for 2 to 4 chickens.
Silky Chickens…so fluffy!
Frizzle chickens…Are they the cutest? These are the 2 types of chickens I want.
Check out all my best findings on you Chicken Coop pinterest board.
These are probably the only chickens I will end up with this Easter.
Happy Easter!

Thanks Holly! I'm pretty fond of my coop too. 🙂 I also love Heather's coop. It, and the super modern black one both influenced mine. I took elements from both and came up with the design of my coop. Hope chickens are in your future one day. They're a whack of fun. ~ karen

What a wonderful post and I can't believe how much variety there is in chicken coops! I don't have chickens but would love them. Such a fun blog and I'm looking forward to adding you to my blog roll!

I want chickens too, but it's probably not going to happen where I'm living now. I still love to look at chickens and chicks on blogs, and I would've never thought I would hear my city-raised self saying this: "Aren't those chicken coops the cutest?!
Happy Easter!
