Wesley’s undergraduate work was done at Philadelphia College of Art (now the University of the Arts), and he received his MFA in Fabric Design from the renowned Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.  In 1980, he received a “National Endowment for the Arts” (NEA) grant for his hand woven upholstery fabric designs.  His fiber art work was included at the Museum of Contemporary Crafts in New York City in the Young American Exhibition, and in a traveling exhibition called “Textiles for the Eighties” sponsored by the Museum of Art at the Rhode Island School of Design, and in the prestigious exhibition, “Hot House:  Expanding the field of fiber” at Cranbrook, 1970-2007.

In 1983, Wesley Mancini Ltd. was incorporated as a textile design firm, and thus began the brand “Home Fabrics by Wesley Mancini.”  His studio employs artists, fabrics designers, colorists, CAD editors and support staff.  His residential fabric designs are currently woven by Valdese Weavers, outdoor fabrics by Al Fresco (both woven domestically), and hand knotted and machine made rugs with Due Process Stable Trading Company.

Products designed by Wesley Mancini Ltd. can be found in almost every major department store or home specialty retailer in the United States and abroad.
