One Room Challenge: WEEK 2

Last week, I introduced you to the One Room Challenge headed up by Calling It Home.

This is a semi-annual event where 20 bloggers, made up of Professional Designers, Diy’ers, and Interior Design Bloggers, transform a room from start to finish.  For the next six Wednesday’s, we will be giving you updates on our room progress.

ORCBanner Fall 13

Here is my WEEK 1 post where you can see my disaster of a home office and my to do list.

This week I do not have a huge amount of progress to report other than I have a real plan for this room.
OB-snapshot
I find it is important to come up with all the large aspects for any room you are planning first.

Things to consider always are:
Walls- paint or wallpaper
Lighting- lamps and ceiling
Flooring- carpet, area rugs, hardwood, tile, etc…
Window Treatments- curtains, blinds, shades, etc…
Furniture- how much seating do you need? What is the main focus of this room?
Furniture Plan-  Always lay out your plan to be sure your items will fit. If you do not want to draw it out just use masking tape in the room.
I then fill in with artwork and accessories which are equally important but, can be step 2.
Here are the choices I have nailed down this far.
