One Room Challenge: Week 6 THE BIG REVEAL

IMG_9062

Since this One Room Challenge started I have traveled every single week.  I truly put the challenge in challenge this go around. I have been on Blogtour Milan with Modenus to Milan and Venice. We headed to Linville, NC. For Easter, I went to Dallas for the Rewardstyle Conference. I turned around and headed to Charleston for a fun 4 days with The Southern C Summit. Today, I am en route to Los Angeles for Legends of LA Cienega and Design Trust meetings.  I am beyond grateful for all these fabulous opportunities but I have hit a wall.  I am ready for a little R & R soon.  I could crawl up in Bo’s bed and sleep for days on end.

Anyway, Bo LOVES his room and has parted with his bunks well. Unfortunately he got a nose bleed in the night before I photographed. Yep, all over the Euro sham….that is hidden under the Rolling Stones pillow.  It is always something.  On another fun note I realized last Friday I forgot to get a dust ruffle.  I ordered this polyester beauty overnight on Amazon,   It does the trick. Who knows I may keep it considering the fab Jill Sorenson Bang Bang Bedding was trashed in a few days.

On to the photography shenanigans.  I am not sure what I am doing wrong but interior photography is HARD, really HARD.  I have a nice camera but everything is grainy and yuck.  I switched back to my trusty iphone after many failed attempts.  I did not allow enough time to hire a photographer, AGAIN. Will I ever learn?  I hope I get the challenge again to prove I can plan ahead.

Cons of the project:

Forgot the Dustruffle

Never Hired a Photographer

Never ordered the desk glass for an under glass scrapbook / collage

Pros of the project:

Bo loves it and I got to meet and watch so many other talents transform their species.

  • May 9, 2014

As a mom of boys, I appreciate/love this room with my whole heart! I fully believe that we shouldn’t design down to our kids, and this room is the PERFECT example. What a lucky guy. The art– that incredible headboard– the wallpaper on the ceiling– I’m in love with it all. Congrats on a great space. xx

  • May 12, 2014

Unbelievable! This room is so cool! I better not show it to my son (especially since i did my daughter’s room for the ORC). I love all of the touches that any boy would love, the rock and roll references, the jaws poster and I also love all your vibrant color choices! Well done!
