Prayer for Peace

Our world changed on Friday morning.  I received a hysterical phone call from my son. He was at the police dept. in Ft Worth talking to a detective. His friend and pledge brother was murdered hours before.  They had all been out together.  Bo had left a few minutes before Wes Smith.

Gun violence is rampant.  Mental Illness is rampant.

When does it stop?

We are praying for the family of Wes Smith.  He was a bright light among his friends, fraternity, family and community.  He was the boy that led the Bible study, coached middle school football and so much more.

This was totally senseless as most of them are.  We are shaken and sad.

Not much seems important in comparison.

Here is the story.

We are in Fort Worth with a bunch of broken young adults who have been directly affected by gun violence. These boys are shattered. The friends are shattered. The family is shattered.

Hold your people tight and pray for this world.
