Happy Friday from Tangier, Morocco!

I am wrapping up the most inspiring trip and heading home this weekend with my head absolutely spinning. The color, the pattern, the tiles, the textiles, the souks, the caftans, the rugs, the food, the people. Morocco is a maximalist dream, and needless to say, I am VERY inspired.

My suitcase is already an issue, my camera roll is completely unhinged, and somehow I am still shopping. Shocking, I know.

This week’s wants are clearly feeling the Moroccan influence with rich fall colors, fabulous prints, animal everything, great layers and plenty of things I absolutely do not need but desperately want.

Let’s shop…

FALL LAYERS…I am ready for fall when I get home, assuming fall is actually ready for me. I love THIS for everyday, THIS feels incredibly chic, THIS would go with absolutely everything, and THIS is exactly the kind of layer I will live in.

COATS & JACKETS…After all this glorious Moroccan color, boring beige simply isn’t going to cut it. THIS is fabulous, THIS feels very me, THIS would instantly make jeans better, and I cannot stop thinking about THIS.

SHOES…My feet have logged some serious miles on this trip, yet somehow I am still interested in more shoes. THESE are calling my name, THESE are the perfect fall pair, THESE would be fabulous with denim, and I can already think of far too many outfits for THESE.

BOOTS, BOOTS, BOOTS…You know my feelings about boots. There is always room for another pair. THESE are classic, THESE have just enough attitude, THESE are begging for leather jeans, THESE would be fabulous with a dress, and THESE may need to come live with me.

BAGS…Because obviously what I really need after Morocco is another bag. THIS is a great option, THIS feels very now, THIS adds the perfect pop, and THIS looks much more expensive than it is.

ANIMAL INSTINCTS…Morocco has done absolutely nothing to calm my love of pattern. Leopard is a neutral. Zebra is practically a stripe. Snake is basically a texture. Case closed. I am obviously drawn to THIS, completely obsessed with THIS, think THIS would make any outfit more fun, and certainly don’t need THIS but desperately want it anyway.

COLOR, COLOR & MORE COLOR….Tangier has me craving ALL the color. Saturated blues, spicy reds, rich browns, greens, orange and every gorgeous jewel tone in between.  THIS is such a good fall color, THESE feel deliciously rich, THIS would be fabulous mixed with animal print, and THIS needs to be in my closet immediately.

COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY, TOTALLY ESSENTIAL…My favorite category. I certainly don’t need THESE, but here we are. THIS is too fun, THIS would make a fabulous gift, THIS somehow feels completely necessary, and THIS is exactly the sort of thing that mysteriously ends up on my doorstep while I am out of town.

I’ll be heading home from Morocco this weekend with a very full suitcase and an even fuller head of inspiration. I have a feeling you’ll be seeing the influence of this trip for quite some time.
