I am slightly obsessed with the photography of Slim Aarons.  ONE KINGS LANE has all these pieces and a few more in a “Life of the Party” sale now.  I want them ALL…Santa are you listening? I picture these beauties all together on a gallery wall in my fabulous mid-century modern abode (that I do not currently own.)

There are terrific other pieces as well featuring Warhol to Marilyn and the Kennedys.  This is a great sale for a photography lover. 

Slim Aarons described his photographs of the 1950s, 60s, and 70s as documenting “attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places.” As a postwar photographer who had earned a Purple Heart in combat, Aarons perfected the environmental portrait. His subjects were society swans, European aristocracy, and Hollywood royalty in beautiful hideaways like Palm Beach and Sardinia. Aarons’s photographs evoke a bygone era of style and graceful serenity.
