Textile Tuesday: The Setter II, My First Love (and Still Wagging Tails)

There are fabrics… and then there are fabrics that stick with you forever. Enter Cowtan & Tout’s The Setter II…back and better than ever, and yes, I am feeling all the feelings.

This one takes me straight back to 1995, my very first condo, and my early days working in the Atlanta showroom that carried the line. It was polished, classic, a little preppy, and full of personality—basically everything I still love today. And now, this signature glazed cotton chintz is having its moment again, reintroduced in fresh, joyful colorways while keeping that timeless charm intact .

But let’s be honest… it’s the dogs for me.

You know I have a soft spot (okay, a full-blown obsession) for anything with a canine cameo. Sporting dogs, storybook dogs, any dogs..I’m in. The Setter II feels like a love letter to that loyal, tail-wagging charm, wrapped in a fabric that is equal parts heritage and happy.

It’s nostalgic. It’s cheerful. It’s a little bit Southern, a little bit English country, and entirely irresistible.

Proof that the best designs, much like the best dogs, never go out of style.
