An exclusive new ceramic tile collection marries two American heritage brands

Sister Parish, Albert Hadley and their legendary firm Parish Hadley have been listed among the top 25 most influential designers of the 20th century by every major shelter title that has such a list. Now, designers and homeowners who want a touch of that Parish Hadley magic in their next design project can build it in with ease. Architectural Digest’s interior design business website AD PRO has announced that Country Floors is launching an exclusive designer collaboration, The Sister Parish Design ceramic tile collection for Country Floors.  The tile collection joins other Sister Parish Design interior products including fabric and wallpaper developed under the label by Sister Parish’s granddaughter and great-granddaughter Susan and Eliza Crater. The decorative ceramic tiles comprise a lively and colorful range expressing a fresh and modern attitude toward classic design.

An Esteemed Design Aesthetic Meets Hand Crafted Ceramic

Made famous by the venerable firm of Parish Hadley, these unconventional graphic designs represent an original take on both color and composition. Says Sister Parish Design Creative Director Eliza Crater, “The ceramic collection is especially exciting to us because it allows interior designers to experiment with tried and true patterns through a new medium and application. We’ve included a variety of color, pattern and finish options, so that these tiles can be utilized in any number of designs.”

Pattern plus Color

The use of bold color and charming patterning are hallmarks of both Parish Hadley and Country Floors, so you will see both in this ceramic tile collection. Offered in six patterns with four coordinating field colors, options for designers are many. Country Floors’ CEO Munir Turunc notes that “We’re especially pleased that this collaboration marks the meeting of two great heritage brands in design.” Or perhaps it is even a reunion of sorts. Country Floors was widely credited with sparking a revival in the use of handcrafted art tile in America in the mid to late twentieth century. It was during that time also that Mr. Hadley selected Country Floors tile for many notable Parish Hadley interiors. Both Country Floors and Parish Hadley were founded in the same year: 1963.

A Timeless Vernacular

“Coming from the vernacular of Albert Hadley, as well as from documentary fabrics in the Parish Hadley archive, these patterns will bring that timeless spirit to not only to kitchens, baths, restaurants, hotels and spas, but will be equally at home in any room as feature walls, wainscot or decorative surrounds, anywhere that you desire classic patterning and require a durable, enduring finish,” says Mr. Turunc.

The collection is currently offered for pre-sale at Country Floors showrooms and online. It will soon be stocked for quick delivery and also offered through Country Floors’ network of fine dealers nationwide.  The Sister Parish Design Collection is the first in a series of exclusive Country Floors luxury designer tile collaborations slated to roll out in 2020 and beyond.
