Tile Tuesday: Zellige

Happy Tile Tuesday!

I am out of town with a client selecting a fun collection of items including tile for a pool/guest house.

Today, I was partially taken with some zellige tile.

Zellige is a traditional Moroccan tile-making art dating back to the 13th century. Each tile is hand-cut, glazed, and kiln-fired using time-honored techniques, resulting in a luminous surface, subtle texture, and organic variation. Zellige adds depth and character to any space.
