Happy Wallpaper Wednesday!

Apparently my love of animals has officially moved onto the walls, and I am completely fine with it.

This week I am smitten with Zoology in Neutral by Andrew Martin for Kravet. Part of the Curator collection, this wonderfully whimsical wallpaper is filled with animals and creatures that give it the feeling of an old-world naturalist’s sketchbook, but with a much cooler, more collected point of view. It is playful without feeling juvenile and neutral without being remotely boring.

I especially love the oversized scale. At nearly 40 inches wide with a 51-inch vertical repeat, this is not a shy little pattern. It wants to be noticed.

I can see it wrapping a powder room, lining a cozy library, covering the walls of a mudroom, or even going all in on walls AND ceiling. Add antiques, a little leopard, something lacquered and plenty of art. More is more, after all.

Andrew Martin describes its design philosophy as “interiors with a twist,” with eclectic influences gathered from around the world, which pretty much explains why I am always drawn to it.

Wild things on the walls? Yes, please.
