Weekend Roundup

I went by Michelle Armas' studio in Decatur as I left Atlanta on Friday.  It was such an exciting experience. The studio was chocked full of finished works and works inprogess.  I wanted to pack up an 18 wheeler full!  I picked up a painting for my sister in law for her living room.  It is the "Hadrien"  painting that was featured on One Kings Lane.  I had her buy the original a few months ago.  It is a true beauty.

I raced back home for a dinner party at a friends house.  The husband cooked an amazing veal ragu over fresh fettucine with marinated grilled veggies.  It was sooooo good!  We had great food, conversation, and lots of vino…

My friend made the most delicious chocolate chess pie I have ever had.  Such a yummy southern treat.

Albert Hadley the  design legend died Friday morning at 91. Dinner at the friends house was a house that Albert Hadley decorated. I have had the pleasure of updating as needed.  The house has been kept pretty close to his original design.  It felt special that we were in this home on that night.

This is one of my favorite rooms by Mr. Hadley

Saturday am the girls were dressed in matching Lilly dresses(by their doing)  from last year ready to head to Lilly Pulitzer Southpark at 10am.  They had such fun hunting eggs and having their pictures with the Easter bunny.  Bo revolted and refused to go!  Marshall rushed to the golf course to escape our shopping adventure…oh well.

Gigi picked out this dress for her Easter dress. It has cute bunnies and lilly of the valley.

Violet picked this Lilly for her Easter dress with a cardigan and Jack Rogers.  It looks precious on her.

I bought this dress at Anthropologie for my Easter dress.  It has a great back invited pleat.

I ventured in Louis Vuitton for the Mon Monogram which is only online now.  I really think I NEED the large tote. I am working on my monogram colors. It is work bag…JUSTIFICATION.

I could not resist this fab necklace by Vince Camuto.  It is so Diana Vreeland.

She is so chic.

I popped in Hermes and was blown away by the new bangles.  They have a new 2" wide bangle.  Another item for the ever growing wish list.

I had lunch with the kids at Carolina Soda shoppe. Gigi truly could not get dirtier.  She had applied a liberal dose of eye makeup from Claire's before lunch.  I give up!

Dinner on the terrace was perfect.

The weather was the perfect 75 degrees.  I wish we had 6 months of this.

Palm Sunday is one of my favorite days at church.  I love the connection to Jesus being brought to Jerusalem as we lay our palm at the foot of the cross.

Brunch at Bricktops… a Sunday favorite.

The girls headed to see Mirror Mirror.  The boys were headed to golf.

This costumes and set are not to be missed.  The best part of the movie honestly.

Tonight we will read my favorite book.  If you do not own it you should.  The best Easter book EVER!

Crazy week ahead.  Buckle up.
