WEEK 1: HERE IS MY PLAN

Our home office is the crap catcher of a room.  5 people come in and out dropping junk and mail along the way.  It is also the place where packages are deposited.  We have cabinets filled with toys that are no longer played with. File cabinets are filled with old documents that need to be shredded. The bookshelves are filled with paperbacks and old books we never open.  This room needs a cleansing and a purging.  Once that is accomplished it will recieve a makeover to some of my favorite work spaces from Pinterest.

Tasks to accomplish:

wallpaper

a chandelier

pair of desk chairs

pair of lamps for the desk

a roman shade

a window seat cushion

paint the inside of the bookcases (after the are cleaned out)

huge cork board for inspiration images and invitations

a gallery wall with a mixture of children’s art and other finds

chic desk accessories 

So that is where I stand. I look forward to sharing my progress over the next 6 weeks.  I appreciate this opportunity to finally get this room as it should be for my family and myself.
