L.A. Part 2

L. A. Favorites- Part 2

Chateau Marmont is a fun spot for serious star spotting and great drinks out on the patio.

Pizzeria Mozza is great food.  I have had 2 wonderful lunches here. I originally heard about this from Goop.

The Ivy is another great lunch spot. You can get lucky with star sightings here too.

The Bazaar at SLS Hotel is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. This Jose Andres restaurant is an innovative feast for the eyes, mind and mouth.

The London West Hollywood is one of my favorite hotels.  The rooftop restaurant and pool has been on The Hills and many other shows.  The hotel rooms are huge and so chic.

The Getty Museum is an architectural gem.  The views of the city to the sea are not to be missed.  I love visiting in the late afternoon for a glass of wine on the patio or in the gardens. They have a fantastic decorative arts collection to enjoy.

Tavern in Brentwood has always been superb food in a beautifully designed restaurant.

The Brentwood Country Mart is such a cute old school shopping area.  My favorites are Calypso, Robert Roller Rabbit and Pippa Small Jewelry.

Dry bar is a great place for a blowout.  It is in the heart of Brentwood.

Huckleberry Cafe is a stop I saw on the Food Network. It looks great and seems to be very popular in Santa Monica.

The Hungry Cat was designed by Jeffrey Alan Marks of Million Dollar Decorators fame.  Check out the before and after photos here.

The Viceroy Santa Monica is just so cool, designed by Kelly Wearster in Hollywood Regency style. I love the bar or the pool area for drinks or a meal.

Fred Segal Santa Monica offers great boutiques within a larger store.

The Lumber Yard Malibu is so cool.  I love Malibu.  The people watching is really stellar. James Perse, Tory Burch and Intermix are all in this little spot. Tory Burch has a chic city guide for Malibu. Read it here.

Malibu Country Mart is next door to the lumber yard.  I love Planet Blue and Tylie Malibu.

Pepperdine University has an unparalleled view. Drive by if you have a chance.  It is a gorgeous campus.
