Wallpaper Wednesday: Lantern Parade by Kit Kemp
Happy Wallpaper Wednesday!
I am always a sucker for a fabulous mural.
Kit Kemp’s Lantern Parade wallpaper, in collaboration with Andrew Martin, takes elements from tapestry landscapes and medieval illumination to create an other-worldly treeline landscape, with the sea beyond.
This forest landscape, in its pale green dawn light is endlessly fascinating, revealing its magic every time we look at it, with its shy forest creatures, basking in dew drenched flowers, as if in the reflection of a lantern held aloft. Illustrated with embroidery like brush strokes, mark making techniques and textures to give depth and movement to this wonderful design.
