This Wallpaper Wednesday is for both the cat people and the dog people. As someone who shares her home with three rescue dogs, you can probably guess where my allegiance lies, but I have to admit, these playful papers have me smitten.

Created in collaboration with artist Happy Menocal, Cats and Dogs for Schumacher are whimsical, painterly designs that double as instant conversation starters. Featuring quirky portraits of fanciful felines and adorable canines, each character is bursting with personality and captures the eccentric charm of Menocal’s original hand-painted artwork.

Printed in the United States, these medium-scale wallpapers are equal parts sophisticated and playful. They feel like a gallery wall of beloved pets, complete with a little attitude, a lot of charm, and endless storytelling potential.

I can picture them in a powder room, mudroom, laundry room, children’s space, or anywhere that could use a smile. While the dogs naturally have my heart, I must admit a few of those fabulous felines are giving my pups some serious competition.

The hardest part? Deciding whether you’re Team Cat or Team Dog.
