Wallpaper Wednesday: WALLPAPER PARADISET by Josef Frank

Happy Wallpaper Wednesday!

I seem to constantly find myself returning to the genius designs of Josef Frank.

My latest vintage crush is WALLPAPER PARADISET from the 1940’s.

This wallpaper contains a constellation of flowers, fruits, butterflies, birds, fishes and a blooming paradise tree full of fruit. It’s easy to imagine that a pattern like Paradise is strictly a figment of Josef Frank’s design imagination, but it is almost always possible to track a source of some kind – either from nature or from art history.
