I had the pleasure of catching up with my cousin, the talented Ashley Whittaker. She invited me and my Charlotte friend and designer, Cathy Austin, to join her for the book launch party for Ricky Lauren's new book, The Hamptons Food, Family, and History. I lept at this invitation. The party was truly the peak of chic! The southerners stood out in colored frocks while the NYC gals were clothed in black, white and cream. Dylan Lauren even commented on our color. She too was in purple and looked gorgeous. I tried to keep my excitement at bay as I gawked at Ralph, Ricky, the family, Micheal Bloomberg and Martha Stewart to name a few. I have shared...

I loved these lights made out of vintage beaded African loin cloths… A chic decoupage sconce… A matching black decoupage bell jar…this would make an entryway. I am a sucker for any bone or mother of pearl inlay. I am dying to use these tulips in a girls room. I cannot get enough of these dog drawings by Valerie Davide. This camel triptych is to die for… These sconces could fill the space on any extra tall mantel. A cool shape for a nickel sconce. I can never get enough Crystal column lamps for sideboards. I love the Zebra..any shape or form! This leopard is already on order for ME:) I loved these Russian folk watercolor...
