Art Love: Andrew Bolam & My Love of Native American Figures in Art
Happy Art Love Monday!
My love for Native American figures in art runs deep..the symbolism, the quiet power, and the storytelling woven into every brushstroke. While on a recent ski trip to Beaver Creek, I discovered the work of Andrew Bolam, and it was an immediate stop-you-in-your-tracks moment. His paintings capture Native American subjects with reverence, strength, and a modern edge that feels timeless rather than trendy.
Naturally, I went down the rabbit hole and learned his work is also shown in Santa Fe…a city deeply rooted in Native American art and culture, and conveniently where I’ll be visiting next week. Consider this Art Love a perfectly timed intersection of travel, place, and the artists shaping how we experience the American West.
