Breakfast with Christian , Lela and Thom to Cocktails with Trina….

Today has been quite the whirlwind and an extraordinary one to boot.  I had the distinct pleasure to attend the High Point Market Press Breakfast at the High Point Theater.  The Speakers were the extraordinary band of Christian Siriano, Lela Rose and Thom Filicia. They were equally entertaining, amusing and inspiring.  I left the theater with a spring in my step to go pursue good design regardless of fashion or interiors.  I think the link between the two is obvious on a creative level.  The process is such a similar thing.  Fashion has a faster burn rate but it all still boils down to creating beauty.

A sale of Christian Siriano's finest followed the talks.  I was terribly tempted by the magenta leather motorcycle jacket as it would certainly go with everything!

I spent a full day shopping after my morning spent with the muses only to rush home to The Mint Museum Fall Forum. Trina Turk spoke and shared her fashion and interior delights with the group.  I was snapping and tweeting away.  She and her husband are two real talents.  Their love of architecture, Palm Springs and mid century modern makes me want to pack my bags today and head for the west…Palm Springs that is.

The incomparable Trina Turk in full orange ( I die) sequins and fuchsia lace ups with tassels no less.

Trina Turk LA Store…described as being in a glass of pink champagne.  Sounds good to me… The 80 bubble lights are DIVINE!

Their Palm Springs pad. "Ship of the Desert" as seen on the cover of 1937 Sunset magazine.  How cool is that?

"Ship of the Desert" VIA…expect more to come as I am a tad obsessed:) The fashion sow that followed featured Mr. Turk as well as the new Trina Turk collection.  If you have a snazzy man in your life it is not to be missed.

I am one tired fashionista.  Sweet dreams of Audrey, Jackie and Slim Aarons photos are in store.
