Yesterday at High Point Market, I was stopped in my tracks seeing the work of Stewart McDonald in the Highland House showroom on loan from Anne Irwin Fire Art.

I did more research and an a bit obsessed. 

Stewart McDonald is a mixed media artist whose works have been featured in galleries, exhibitions, hotel and person collections as well as television media. Stewart earned a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from the University of Mississippi in Oxford. She spent 9 years in art consulting while continuing to develop a portfolio of her own creative work. Upon the birth of her second child in 2016, she transitioned to a full-time working artist. Since then she has exhibited in multiple galleries. She enjoys pushing the boundaries of her work and experimenting with new techniques and media. Stewart is a native of Atlanta but resides in Athens, Georgia with her children and husband.
