Art Love: Sarah Schools

My schedule is a bit wonky this week with all the big sales but I def have some Art Love to share.

If there is one thing that will stop me mid-scroll, it’s a painting that feels like a deep breath. Enter Sarah Schools.

The Charleston-based artist has a magical way of capturing the South’s wild beauty, from marsh grasses and towering trees to dreamy skies and winding waterways. Her latest works at Shain Gallery are filled with the lush landscapes and painterly charm that have made her one of my favorite artists to watch.

The five newest pieces on my radar are a love letter to nature, each one layered with soft color, movement, and the kind of peaceful nostalgia that makes you want to step right into the canvas. Whether she’s painting a canopy of blooming trees, a quiet stretch of marsh, or sunlight dancing across the landscape, Sarah has a gift for finding beauty in the everyday and elevating it into something extraordinary.

These paintings feel equal parts Southern charm and modern romance, and frankly, I’d happily find room for every single one of them. Scroll down to see my five favorites from her newest collection and prepare to fall in love.
