One Room Challenge: Week 3

Here we are already on week 3 of the One Room Challenge. Yikes!

See Week 1 and Week 2 to get up to date if you are just joining in…

I have hit a wall.  I am back from Italy and swamped with clients and a busy spring household.  Most of my items have arrived. The bunk bed has been removed and the queen bed is up.  Bo was actually sad to see his bunks go.  His bed makes him look older. The grasscloth should go in the next week or two. The headboard was delivered. IT IS FAB.  It needs to get scotch guarded asap.  I can see trouble with the white background!

Things to decide still!

Linens…I am thinking of going light but WORRY with a boy.  With the dark walls I cannot go dark..ugh…a tangled web I weave.  Here are a few random ideas to consider…

I am a big monogram fan but not sure it translates to “rocker chic” vibe…

Bo is a huge fan of the many fur throws around the house.  I was thinking he needs a fur throw for his bed…. I have shared my love of fur on the bed before here.

Clean out bookcases…we have more little children’s books than the law should allow.

I would LOVE to add this AMAZING Gray Malin Surfboard to Bo’s room but it does not meet budget at the current time.

It would be such great wall art!

I will report back next week with more progress!

Be sure to pop over to all the other ladies participating in the #oneroomchallenge.

  • April 16, 2014

The headboard!!! So cool. I love it and its so perfect for a boys room. Everyone needs a furry throw pillow, of course! And wao, that Gray Malin Surf Board would be cool, but I’m sure you can find a more affordable vintage piece somewhere? How was Italy?

  • April 16, 2014

I love the headboard, and all of your bedding options!! The fur throw will add such a luxe touch!

  • April 16, 2014

That headboard is perfection. You could just put that in the room and call it done and everything would look fab. 🙂 Its coming together great.

  • April 16, 2014

I love the surfboard and your overall color scheme! Excited to see how it all comes together especially since my own son will need a room design soon 🙂

  • April 16, 2014

That headboard is epic! As always, the level of detail here is staggering.

  • April 16, 2014

    How fun is that headboard!

  • April 16, 2014

That headboard! Knew it would be awesome but in person it is fantastic. I think you can rock a rocker monogram. Aren’t rockers rather ironic?!

  • April 16, 2014

That headboard is amazing. Can’t wait to see this room come together!

  • April 17, 2014

The headboard is amazing. Such a good idea to scotch guard it!

  • April 17, 2014

Too funny, fretting about a lot of white that is going in my daughter’s room, working on a monogram headboard or pillows and was trying to pull the trigger on Gray Malin photo to add ‘real art’ to her room! That surfboard would be sick! LOVE the headboard!

  • April 17, 2014

Holly – I love this! The monogram Red “TME” pillow is the bomb! I love the overall look! Cant wait to see the seagrass walls! You know I love your work! XO Lance @ Parker Kennedy Living
